| Kyocera supports local festivals and a variety of events financially, and since 1972, Kyocera factories and offices throughout Japan have begun to hold festivals each summer, inviting local residents in what has become a community tradition. |

| Year-End Charity Drives |
|
| Kyocera has been participating in year-end charity drives and fund-raising activities since 1963. Contributions from Kyocera and its employees are donated to local communities with the hope of creating local endowments for long-term use. Kyocera also strives to be of service to those communities in the long term by using these funds as a foundation. |

| The Kyocera Group in the USA is
participating in an annual toy
donation campaign run by the US
Marine Corp (Marine Toys for Tots
Foundation). Toys collected from
employees are presented to local
children in needy circumstances. |

| The Kyoto City of Learning Pavilion
is a municipal career
education facility for elementary and junior high school children. In
February 2009, a corporate
display area named Kyoto
Product Creation Center was
opened in the facility. The
Kyocera Display introduces
Kyocera’s inventiveness
and passion for product
manufacture. |

| Headquarters Building Illumination |

| For the enjoyment of local people and visitors, the Kyocera
Headquarters building is illuminated each night at the end of
the year. Additionally, since 2007, many people have enjoyed
an annual Christmas concert of hand-bells. |

| Local Community Clean-Up Activities |
|
| The Kyocera Group aims
to be an integral part of
local communities. All
over the country, regular
environmental clean-up
activities are undertaken
around Kyocera Group offices,
factories and elsewhere. |

| Kyocera Anti-Crime Patrols |
|
| In 2007, at the Kyocera Kokubu and Hayato plants in Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyocera started Kyocera Anti-Crime Patrols. The company attached magnets that state, Kyocera Anti-Crime Patrol to its 111 work vehicles used locally, and the company contributes to community safety through local child-care and crime prevention efforts. |

| Commemorating Kyocera's 20th Anniversary (1979) |

| Kyocera donated a small vehicle with a search light to the Yamashina Fire Station in Kyoto City and presented two Siberian tigers to the Kyoto City Zoo. In addition, Kyocera donated color televisions to ten city elementary schools in the Yamashina area of Kyoto City. |

| Kyocera donated a fire engine and three clock towers to Kokubu City in Kagoshima Prefecture, and provided seats for the city's athletic stadium grandstands. In addition, Kyocera supported the development of the city's "Children's Forest" and donated educational materials to eight elementary and junior high schools in the city. |

| To express gratitude to local communities, Kyocera donated grand pianos, overhead projectors and color televisions to elementary and junior high schools in Kagoshima, Kyoto and Shiga, and donated medical equipment to local medical institutions. |
| Commemorating Kyocera's 10th Anniversary (1969) |

| To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its founding, Kyocera set up an Inamori Scholarship Fund in the faculty of engineering at Kagoshima University to support young students who are eager to pursue higher studies. In addition, Kyocera donated two grand pianos to elementary schools; one grand piano to a junior high school; and scholarship funds to Gamo Town (now called Higashiomi City), the home of Kyocera's Shiga Gamo plant, as an expression of gratitude. |
